Samoyeds and Silver Foxes can be distinguished by anyone who knows a little bit about dogs when they grow up, but it's a bit of a headache if we want to pick a puppy to start with from a young age. These two dogs are very similar in puppyhood, especially before 2 months of age, but there is a big difference in their prices. Although we say that raising a dog is a matter of eye contact, but raising the wrong breed should be very depressing, and may also spend more money than necessary. So in order to prevent being cheated, the following I will teach you how to distinguish between Samoyed and Silver Fox puppies.

Samoyed puppy (Details)

Samoyed and silver fox can be distinguished when they grow up as long as they know the dog a little, but if we want to pick a puppy to start with, it's a bit of a headache. These two dogs are very similar in puppyhood, especially before 2 months of age, but there is a big difference in their prices. Although we say that raising a dog is a matter of eye contact, but raising the wrong breed should be very depressing, and may also spend more money than necessary. So in order to prevent being cheated, the following I will teach you how to distinguish between the Samoyed and Silver Fox puppies.

  1. look at the body type. The Samoyed is a medium-sized dog, and the Silver Fox is a small dog. When picking a puppy, a big one is not necessarily a Samoyed, but a small one is likely to be a silver fox. So it is not recommended to buy a smaller sized Samoyed.

  2. Look at the five senses. The first is the mouth, that is their biggest difference. The silver fox's mouth is more pointed and longer, and the Satsuma dog has thicker meat on both sides of its mouth. Then there are the eyes, the Satsuma dog has typical almond eyes, the silver fox has smaller and rounder eyes. The following is to look at the ears, the Satsuma dog ears are thicker, and it takes until about 100 days for the ears to be fully established, so if the ears are established early it is usually the Silver Fox. The silver fox has little expression, and the sweeter the expression of the Samoyed, the better.

  3. Look at the hair. In terms of coat color, the Satsuma dog's coat tends to be creamy white, while the silver fox tends to be snowy white and more lustrous. The amount of hair is thicker and fluffier, while the silver fox hair is relatively hard.

  4. Look at other parts. The tail of the Samoyed is not curled into a loop, nor is it drooping, but rather close to the body. The shape of the Satsuma's paws is similar to that of a husky, while the silver fox's paws are similar to that of a Boomerang.
